Free Standing Hammocks
68Do you value your time to relax? Are you looking for a great way to relax in your backyard? If you want a very versatile way to relax, you should look into buying a free standing hammock. You don’t have to find two palm trees to bend in order to take a nap in a sack anymore. In fact, you don’t need any trees to relax in the classical way anymore. Find a level space, park yourself in a shady area, and suspend yourself in mid air without fear of the wind or a tree trunk snapping. If you have a small yard, this will be a great alternative to save space, and this is even better if you have a new yard that doesn’t have a 50 year old tree. Now anyone can enjoy reading or napping in his or her hammock, without the hassle of always having to find two trees and a sack. You’ll be reading, napping, or relaxing in safety with a free standing hammock just like in a regular hammock but with more style, safety, and convenience.
What to Look for in a Free Standing Hammock
As with all hammocks, you want to make sure that you feel amazing when suspended in the air. So this means that you want a sturdy yet comfortable fabric when you are relaxing in your hammock. You can choose from a traditional net or rope hammock, but you can also choose from hammocks that are quilted and have netting only on the ends. Similarly you have a wide range in choice of the frame of your free standing hammock.
You can choose from a natural looking wood frame that can match with anything in your backyard. You can also choose from metal frames, but make sure that you choose a frame that won’t rust in the weather, especially if you’re going to use your hammock on a just watered lawn or just a rainy area. You should choose what works for your budget, weather condition, and aesthetic tastes. A hammock can be a great investment and a staple in your backyard but you should make sure you’re getting the best.
Cost of a Free Standing Hammock
A free standing hammock is more expensive than a regular hammock, but what’s the use of a regular one without two strong trees to support it? If you don’t have the time to maintain two trees or don’t have the fortune to already have two strong trees or a super strong tree in your backyard, your best bet is a free standing hammock. Free standing hammocks can range from $80 to $350. Because of the freedom in design, free standing hammocks can have a wide range of material in both the fabric and the stands, which could make a difference in how you relax. With trees, you never know how spaced out you need your hammock to be and there would be a lot of compromises on your part depending on your tree or trees.

Hammocks!!! They are the best -- under the shade of tree when it's hot out. The swinging is relaxing and I love watching the clouds overhead as I lie listening to the rustling of the tree leaves and the birds as they sing. Ahhh, summer is near!! :)
