Finding a Cordless Hair Dryer

By

Are you sick of getting a tangled cord from your hair dryer? Do you wish that you could walk around the house while drying your hair? While it is true that up until recently, cordless hair dryers were nowhere to be found on the market, cordless dryers do exist. However, they are not available in major distributors so you would have to look a bit harder to get a cordless dryer shipped to you especially if you live in the United States since cordless dryers are mostly available in Asia and are in very high demand. If you are unfamiliar or wary of giving your credit card information to a website you are not sure about, you should opt for different dryers that are travel size or have retractable cords. Unfortunately cordless dryers have not been popularized yet but don’t give up hope because they do exist and with a little bit of search and a bit more patience you’ll be drying your hair like the lady in the video in no time.

Why a Cordless Dryer?

You can take cordless dryers around the house and it isn’t dependent on where you have a electric socket. They also save you the trouble of de-tangling a cord and cut down on the potential danger of getting electrocuted. However, since most cordless dryer manufacturers are in Asia or in the UK, make sure that the standard voltage is the same as your country’s settings. For example, if you live in the US, the standard voltage is 110 volts. If you decide to buy one from overseas, you should buy a voltage adjuster to have voltages match correctly for your own safety.

Where Can I Find a Cordless Dryer?

You can find cordless dryers on the Internet, which is quite saying something since cordless dryers were not even on the market several years ago. However, you will have to do some extra research since these are mostly available in Taiwan, Japan, and the UK. Many of these have already sold out of cordless dryers and the average person used to shopping at major online distributors may take a second step to think it through before handing out your credit card. They can also be expensive, but if the convenience is worth it to you, you should check out these sites:

Ioneat.co.uk
At the time of this writing, this AA alkaline battery operated cordless dryer is undergoing development of a new model. You can preorder here http://www.ioneat.co.uk/

Tekmaker
Tekmaker provides cordless dryers from Taiwan. This particular hair dryer is said to be especially safe for babies since it emits no electromagnetic radiation, and even safe when dropped into water. It has a charging time of 4 hours but has a run time from 8 to 15 minutes.
You can order here:

Alternatives to Cordless Dryers

Amazon already provides dryers with minimal hassle such as dryers with retractable cords and regular travel size dryers. If you are looking for a smaller and lighter model only, it is probably better and easier for you to find simply existing models that do not have unmanageable cords or are not heavy.
